There’s Art

in Everything

Kim Timmons is a multifaceted artist who works in oil, watercolor, pastel, ceramics, batik, and blown glass.  She received her Master of Art from Texas Tech in Art Education and worked as a graphic and portrait artist after college.

Kim lives in Burnet where she taught art and inspired high school students for over thirty years. Many of her students have advanced to win competitions, receive scholarships, and study abroad.  In 2011-2012, Kim and her Burnet students were featured in the PBS special, Art:21, which was designed to connect public school art teachers with successful working artists.  In 2012, she received the prestigious honor of High School Art Teacher of the Year by the Teacher Art Education Association.  Kim taught college level foundational art, AP drawing, 2D, and 3D from 2007 to 2020. In furthering her career, she has built a studio and glass shop at her home to continue in art education for the general public while she enjoys creating new pieces for her lucrative business.
